Kenedy Space Centre

What can I say .... was breath taking to see the size of the area and the size of the rocket that put man on the moon.

The large building where they put together the shuttle and the booster rockets

The crawler which takes them out to the launch pads

The shuttle and rockets sit on this pad.  You can see the 2 holes where the blast comes from the rockets.  This on the crawler.  Takes 2 days to get to the launch pad

Control center

Launch Pad 29

the long track from the assembly hanger the to the pads

long road - its re surfaced every time as the clawer smashes the rocks

The count down clock - the flag was at half mast due to the shooting in Washington

The Saturn V rocket that sent the Apollo missions into space

the massive rockets

The Mission badge - when they landed on the moon the term " the eagle has landed "
lucky the mission was not another animal ... would have sounded a little funny.

Apollo 10 module

Space Shuttle Atlantis ...
